Question: How does it feel to be the 2012 SouthWest Jr Dragster Series All Run "BIG" Money Champion?
Answer: It feels AMAZING!!! It is my first Championship win. I am so happy that I can make my Daddy proud.
Question: Who was your toughest competitor this year? and Why?
Answer: When I 1st started the season, I didnt know anybody so I would have to say everybody was tough.
Question: What’s a normal day like in the life of Brianna Maitland?
Answer: I wake up at 6:30am. Go to school where I strive to maintain good grades. Come home eat a snack, do homework, do chores, talk on phone, then go to sleep.
Question: What do you like to do when you aren’t racing?
Answer: Irritate my Dad. Dance. Talk on the phone. Torment my sister.
Question: What’s your favorite food?...color?...car?...singer?
Answer: Favorite Food: Crab Favorite Color: Turquoise/ Lime Green/ Purple (the colors of my room) Favorite Car: Shelby Mustang (Thank you Mr. Dodd for my Birthday Present. Hint. Hint)
Question: What is something that most people don’t know about you?
Answer: I flew to Washington D.C. by myself when I was 11 years old to attend a People to People World Leadership Conference.
Question: What would your dream job be?
Answer: Chemical/ Mechanical/ or Computer Engineer
Question: Who is your favorite pro driver? and Why?
Answer: Antron Brown. Because he drives the AWESOME Matco Tools Dragster and he also sponsored my 8th Grade Academic Award.
Question: If you could give a few words of advice to a young and up-coming driver, what would that be?
Answer: Learn to drive the top end. Strive to cut good lights. Keep your grades up in school and have confidence.
Question: What are your goals for the 2013 season?
Answer: Back to Back Championship. And awesome tire prep for Josh and my Dad to help them win the Outlaw Championship.
Question: Would you like to thank anyone for helping you have such a successful season?
Answer: My Mommy and Daddy, my sister, and Kailub for all their support and Josh for taking my seat in the Outlaw car, it has made my life much easier. And to ALL my extra crew chiefs - Mr. Dodd, Chris Benham, Mr. Burrow, and my Mommy for remembering me, even when my daddy didn't or didn't have time. (I love you Daddy) And to all the people who helped my Mom put the belt on and take it off my car.
